Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor types a name, location, or other term into a search box, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider handles the query under its own terms and privacy practices.
Messages Sent to Us
If someone sends an email or uses an available contact form, we retain the message and its reply details long enough to respond and manage the exchange. We do not share that communication outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most web services, the site may receive basic technical and usage details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The network IP address associated with the request

- The device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and the amount of time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied

Government and Outside Links
Pages may link to the Reno County Sheriff, Kansas VINE, KASPER, court portals, facility pages, public-record sources under the Kansas Open Records Act process in K.S.A. 45-218, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that destination controls its own data collection and privacy policy.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to observe activity across more than one website and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on the provider’s systems, not in a Reno County government records system and not through a database operated by this site.

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may still be processed by:

- Advertising networks that deliver and assess ads
- Law enforcement or another government authority acting under a valid legal order

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, they may ask that it be located and deleted.

- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information that is no longer required
